Spring Green Drink !Acts of random Kindness March 2019 !

Do you want to do acts of random kindness but don't know where to start? Do you want your act of random kindness to add skills? Look no further. For every month of the year I tell you what I did, for most how it went and materials you'll need. I hope this helps you get started. I provide links for most activities as well. It includes skills making it as simple as following a recipe, following directions, writing kind notes for others. I think it's great to think about others. I take pictures and it's awesome to show pictures of what we've done during open house.

What we did  For March a bit after St. Patricks’s day we made a green
drink. We kept it simple and did the recipe with Lime Sherbert Ice Cream and
Ginger ale. We mixed it in a bowl and gave it to nearby neighbors of our
classroom. We also looked up and wrote encouraging notes on there.
How it
went: It was
fun and easy!   
Materials Green cups, Ginger ale, Lime Sherbert Ice cream. Must be given
quickly and kept cold but ice cream will need to be soft.

Fun Math Scavenger hunt

                Do you teach teens or adults with special needs? I find it is tricky to find things that catch their interest, are good for their learning but isn't babyish. A fun thing I have found is a math challenge. It may sound silly but it mixes up math a bit. Who doesn't love a good scavenger hunt?  For seasons I print and cut out pictures of pumpkins  in the fall, coffee mugs in the winter, shamrocks for st. Patrick's day , hearts for Valentine's day. I did Basketballs for march madness. What I do is once I have the images cut out I write math problems on them. I then hide them around the room. I let them find them and they do the problems I usually say 2 each.  I go and check and make sure they have the problem and check for mistakes.
